Voronet 2010 – summer camp project
VORONET 2010
First of all, we want to thank God for the new opportunity of the summer camp in the mountains. Due to worldwide economic problems, I did not think we would have such a wonderful blessing this year. But it shows again that God’s plans are different from people’s plans – Isaiah 55:8-9:“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”.
All children have seen this new opportunity as a gift from God and we are grateful to Him and to those who made it possible for all of us to be at the summer camp in Voronet.
We had 27 children in our group, coming from Botosani, Vlădeni, Mihail Kogalniceanu, Ichimeni, Bucecea, Pascani and Iasi. The youngest member of the group, Andrew Cotruta from Mihail Kogalniceanu was four years old and the oldest teen in the group was 18. Although there was a large age group span, yet it was a close nit group and integrated well in all camp activities. For the children coming from Ichimeni, this was their first time in a camp like this. In fact it was the first time when they have seen places outside of their home village.
