It was a great, wonderful and unforgettable experience for most of children from our charity program this year. After those days, I and my husband have made a small evaluation of this holiday and we found this time was the most wonderful Christmas from our last years. All our family’s members were happy and grateful to God because we had in our mission ministry this project.
This year, a group of 34 children were involved our project for Christmas. Some of them are part of our charitable and social work; they live in social stages and different locations (Vlădeni, Botosani, Bucecea, and Mihail Kogălniceanu village). The whole of the project, December 24-26, 2008, the children from the village of Mihail Kogălniceanu lived with us in Botosani.
On the eve of Christmas, the children from the village of Mihail Kogălniceanu arrived in Botosani, in our home (my husband went after them by car in the morning of that day). They had the lunch, and after a small relax little, we all went to Vlădeni. There we gathered the entire group: those of Vlădeni, children Bucecea (Sofian’s children), some children from Botosani (Juravle’s children), and the children from our mission children club. We have had a specific work to do: to go with the Christmas carol through the village at different people’s homes.
The village was covered by snow. It snowed few days before, even on the eve of Christmas we enjoyed enormously much too large flakes of snow that falls on the ground. We went to the homes of people sang Christmas carols, specific event songs relating to the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ. The children were untiringly and full of enthusiasm. They had a nice experience and felt proud because all of them can do useful work to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their village.
Tonight, the children went home and others in Botosani, where we had dinner together. Our children have enjoyed having them as their guest that time, they talk, playing different games and laughed a lot together. Many things were new to them, including that to play some games on the computer.
The next morning we went to Vlădeni again, where the group of children attended a worship service by the local Baptist church. The whole church were touched by the children Christmas program. Their songs, poems and biblical verses about the birth of Jesus Christ sounded wonderful. We have had not such a large group of children before in our church service. It was wonderful to see all of them worship with the church that day.
At the end of the service, the children who worshiped at the church participated in a festive Christmas meal. We have eaten soup, a specific Romanian food called sărmăluţe, fruits, cakes and juices. All children were very happy, talked about stories and different things, experiences and memories. Finally, they received their Christmas received this year by the Samaritan’s Purse. They then disposed of because no longer had the patience needed to get home. You can imagine the joy that they have experienced it in those special moments.
Some friends of our family heard about this project and have decided to join us through a donation of this specific event. Few days before Christmas, our sponsors from England told us about the possibility of helping this project financially. In this way, we want to thank you all for the support given to us in running this great project.
After the Christmas festive dinner, each child went home and we got back to Botoşani. After we rested a little, we went to “the city children’s town” together with children from Mihail Kogălniceanu. The Central
Park and the city were covered by snow. And then it was snowing quite profusely everywhere on Botosani; this generated a lot of joy in their souls. These children never have been and seen a place like this before. The places dedicated to the electric cars and horses were their favorites. They shot several times in these cars, which had an immense joy. It was the first time they saw something like that, and when they eat cotton candy. Tired, we returned home that evening. Children continued to play with our boys, told and laughter together. With difficulty we were able to determine them to go to sleep because the next day we had to take them back to their village. We would like to keep them few days more, but we have had special events in our family: my sister engagement time and my mother birthday party.
The next morning, we early waked up and after breakfast, the children have packed their things and left for their village. The road was difficult; it
was much snow and ice on the road. Although the road was very hard, God has helped us to take them home safely. Their families expected us in the place we have fixed before on the phone and have enjoyed when the children have begun to tell them about their experiences and beautiful time lived those days with us in Botosani.
We pray to God to have other opportunities to be together in the future, to enjoy in projects like this. Memories are long lived in our minds and we are convinced that these children will not forget too soon all things new and beautiful experience lived on Christmas 2008.
May God bless all those who have supported this project by prayer and financially. We are convinced that they will be rewarded for the effort made for our charity work and pray to God to have them in His guard this year all the time.

Thank you for sharing the joys and blessing of your Christmas season with the children in your area. May the seeds of the gospel continue to grow in their life throughout this coming year, and may you be encouraged and built up in your faith as you grown in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
